Hi Team,

Please check & advise.

Hi @Kanishk Azad welcome to the Atlassian Community!

What are you currently using to define your acceptance criteria? Is it in the definition of your user story? Are you using a checklist? Are you using sub-tasks?

Please note there there are no built-in acceptance criteria in Jira Software.

Hi @Dave Mathijs

Currently we are using "Description" field to define Acceptance criterias which is a free text field and so we are not able to define AC as a separate and different entity.

So, sometimes when a BA is not following a similar format to write down ACs in all user stories, it will be difficult for us to get exact count of ACs w.r.t story.

I suggest to use a third-party app like Checklist for Jira in order to list and define your AC.

Hi @Kanishk Azad

Our app Checklist for Jira will show you how many items are in the checklist at a glance. Look at this AC example:

AC.png

Otherwise you will have to parse the Description text to find how many lines (or maybe how many bullet points) there are. Which is not as simple.

Kind regards
