We are working through creating a Confluence page for Guest access. We have figured out how to limit access by Guest/Group. On this page we would also like to expose a specific Jira Filter for 'viewing' a list of tickets aligned to the Guest/Group. I see content out here for granting Guest access to a full Jira project and then adding a field to the jira item for defining who can see the ticket. We would rather use a filter so we can simply limit the available fields and information that can be accessed by the Guest. It's unclear if that is a bridge too far and we should remove from scope for our POC or it is possible. Feedback would be appreciated.
Hi @triemer
Are you looking to grant access to a Jira filter without providing the user a licence - like you can with Confluence Guests?
If so, not exactly - you need Jira access to see the results of a filter (even in Confluence) - and "limited" guest access is a Confluence-only feature at this point.
You could look into Anonymous Access as an alternative? Just remember this effectively makes your Jira instance "public" on the internet.
You could also vote for/watch the feature request for this - see: JRACLOUD-74242
