Is there a way to hide certain fields from the print view that appear to be background fields?

What's a "background field"?

The first three fields you have highlighted are (important) system fields built in. You can hide them in the field configuration. The other three are the "time tracking" system - again, you can hide it if you're not using it.

I got it now. I guess the real way to describe them would be system-defined fields (vs user-defined fields)?

The most common phrases you'll see are "System field" and "Custom field"
