Is there a way to plan time against component and the numbers show up in an advanced custom view?

I have come across an issue with Tempo Time sheet that I am not able to get component planned times to show up in custom report views  in advanced mode. The  views gather issues based off a query and the reports have this data to  show. However if you plan against a component this does not show up in a custom  view. What is the solution to this problem?  JIRA has views that only gather issues it seems there needs to be a customizable report( that gets planned issues by component).  Thanks in advance.
