Is there a way to prevent tasks from changing the status of a story to done?

When all the tasks are transitioned to done, I need to prevent or control the status change of the story to done...

I would like to be able to have the status the tasks drive be another status?

Hello,

You need to use validators or conditions for it. Go to project settings -> workflows and find the required workflow. Then add a condition or validator you need. If no validator or condition suits your needs, then you would need an app like Power Scripts, Scriptrunner, JWME, Automation for Jira, MyGroovy, Groovioli to create a custom validator or condition.
