Is there a way to take custom date fields and use it as an interval to log work.

Hi everyone,

I am wondering if there is a way to automatically log work once the issue reaches a certain status or performs a certain transition.

I have a Vacation Start Date and Vacation End Date fields within an issue and I am trying to take those dates and log it in as an interval. I have been working on this for a while and I haven't been able to find any add-ons or post functions that would allow me to do this.

you need to create your own post function (for example using scripted post function provided by ScripRunner).
