Is there an actual Atlassian support group instead of Atlassian Community?

Cheryl Lacy August 6, 2020

I feel like this is a Wikipedia for Help Desk. Any random person can answer. I don't have time to try random answers that may or may not work. I'm looking for someone who is actually employed by Atlassian that can answer questions.

Please feel free to check out https://www.atlassian.com/enterprise/support-services#compare-offerings and if you have the right licence that include support as well then you can contact their team directly from this page https://www.atlassian.com/enterprise/contact

The lowest levels of Atlassian licenses have no support except this community. There are some Atlassians who hang out here, but for the most part we're helpful customers and Atlassian partners.

Interestingly, Wikipedia is mostly written by a small number of helpful people I believe.

The commercial licences for tiers of 25 users and above (Jira Service Desk is a different number of agents, which I have never been able to remember) can raise support issues with Atlassian directly.

Community answers though, are often very very good.

Yes, I understand "random answers may not help", but there are some things that can help a bit with that.

I tend to look at (in no particular order)

  • The person posting the help
  • Are they an Atlassian?
  • Are they a Community Leader?
  • Are they an Atlassian Parter?
  • The metadata at the top right - do we know that the system/product/deployment and tags match the sort of answer we are looking for?
  • Interactions with the Q&A
  • Is the answer accepted?
  • If not accepted, does it has other positive notes like upvotes or thank-you comments?
