Hi,
I created an epics (parent) and a couple of child tasks/stories.
The child task/stories are ordered randomly (or I cannot see a pattern).
It would make much more sense to be able to order them somehow. It was possible in the clasic Jira.
Any help?
Kind regards,
Kresimir
Hello @Kresimir zic ,
In next-gen boards there is an option to "Group By" various options including epic, however this setting is global for the next-gen board so do be aware that it will apply the change to the layout for all users when changed. Noting the following feature request we have in place to add a individual view option for this setting:
To change the boards grouping log in as a user with administrator permissions and the group by option will appear in the upper right of the next-gen board allowing you to group by "None", "Assignee", "Epic", OR "sub task":
You can find more information about Next-Gen on the documentation below:

Hi Earl, thank you for your answer, but was asking something else. I was to reorder the child tasks withing the parent epics.
Thx

Hello again,
Thanks for the clarification and sorry for the confusion. In the Next-gen boards the sort order is controlled by a back end variable called the issues rank value which is controlled by dragging and dropping the issue into the desired order for prioritization efforts.
The sort order is controlled by the boards filter, which is a configurable option in classic Boards (as covered here) , but it is not configurable in the new next-gen boards, so at this time the issues Rank value is the only option you have for rearranging the issues in a next-gen project type.
Moving forward we have the following Feature request to make configuration changes to the Next-gen filters that would make this possible. Please make sure to add a vote to help us track interest in the feature per the "Implementation of New Features Policy" :

Earl
