Is there any way to incorporate uploader tracking for attachments in JIRA?

I have a user who's having issues tracking the uploaders of attachments in JIRA tickets. If a file is attached to a JIRA ticket with the same name, you can't tell the original and the new file apart. You can see who attached what and when in the history tab, but no way of determining the uploader from just looking at the attachments in the ticket. If there is more than one file attached you can't read the full name unless you download every one of them. Is cross-referencing the timestamps on the bottom of the attachments the only way to determine this?
