In the backlog view, you can do it. Click on the 3 dots after the user avatars in a sprint to see the summary of story points assigned to each user. This is very useful during planning.
Once the sprint is started, you shouldn't be needing this detail. If you must, you will have to go for a plugin or workaround like Mahesh mentioned.
If you have script runner, you can do this with a scripted field.
