Issue Cloning

Need some help please.

We have a use case where we want to be able to Clone an Initiative as well as all dependant Epics and Child issue for the Epics. Is there a App in the marketplace that can do this or does anyone know of a tool that may be able to clone at this level. Thank you

Hello @Bridgette Metior 

It is possible to clone Epic tree with Automation or with an app like Copy & Sync (Full disclaimer: I'm the Product Manager of this app).

We are currently working on the ability to clone an entire hierarchy whatever the number of levels. In your case, you'll be able to clone (and synchronize if you wish) an Initiative and all its child issues all the way to subtasks.

I'll let you know when this will be available here, probably in the coming weeks.

Our app Deep Clone for Jira can clone whole issue hierarchies with the Epic/Tree Clone feature.

1. Navigate to the issue you want to clone

2. Click Action menu ••• > Deep Clone

3. Select Epic/Tree Clone

4. Configure and create your Epic/Tree Clone
