Issue are not appearing on my KanBan Board

Christina Gheorghe May 22, 2018

I'm a new Jira user. I've created three boards within my project. In each board I have mapped the associated statuses. I created two test issues but neither is showing up on the corresponding board. I did a search on this problem but none of the solutions seem to apply to me. As far as I can see, the statuses are mapped to columns and I don't think the filters would apply in this case. I have provided screen shots in case its helpful. What am I missing?

Filters would definitely apply. Check the Board Configuration > General (not Quick filters) to find the filter and sub-filter associated with a Kanban board. Check if the issues are part of the main filter and not excluded by the sub-filter.

Thanks Jobin, deleting the sub-filter fixed the problem and my issues now appear on the board. One question, it was the default sub-filter that I deleted and it appears that it doesn't apply to my project but wondering if that could have a negative impact to my project in the long run? In other words was it there for good reason?

Sub-filters are used so that the issues won't stay in the Kanban board, on the right side column for too long. So, you can have a condition, like having a fixVersion, to remove the issues from the board.

You can also use other queries, as long as it does the same.
