Issue board disappears when project type changed from Business to Software.

MJ March 15, 2018

We initially used JIRA Business and then decided to move to JIRA software. The problem we are facing is, our projects were migrated from JIRA Business to JIRA Software but their project type remained Business.

When we edit this and try to change the project type from Business to Software, the Issue board disappears. We need to change the project into a Scrum environment and are unable to do so.

Hi Mahaveer,

When you edit the project type from Business to Software, it is expected that the project will not have a board, but you can create a scrum board for your project following the steps below:

* Go to the search icon (sidebar)
* Click on View all boards
* Click on Create board
* Choose Scrum>Board from an existing project>Next
* Give the board a name and select your project
* After it, you should be able to see the Backlog and Active sprints in your project sidebar

In case this is not exactly what you're looking for, please send us a comment with more details.

Hope it helps.

Cheers,
Soane K.

Thank you, I was able to create a Kanban board. The scrum board required me to do a sprint but we do not have a sprint environment, Kanban works for us.
