Issue count for a jira project using cli

Using JIRA CLI, How do I get a IssueCount for a JIRA project ? What is the exact syntax of the command ? Thanks

Quoting from the man himself (@Bob Swift [Bob Swift Atlassian Add-ons]):

"getIssueList action returns the number of issues available in the list as the result string for the operation. Use --file to a null device like /dev/null (OS dependent) to throw away the list details."
