Issue deleting user

I am having issues deleting a user. There are no issues assigned to this user, however, when I attempt to delete them from the system, it says they have 2 open issues assigned and cannot be deleted.

I logged in to the admin account and cannot find and issues related to this user.

I logged into this users account and there are no issues assigned or sent out by them.

Any suggestions??

Not sure if this will help but can you try to reindex you JIRA instance? I believe that "it says they have 2 open issues assigned and cannot be deleted" is searched via the issue navigator.

Else, pop into the database and check whether there is an assignee there.
