The 'Resolution' field on an issue was previously changed by an user to "Resolved". But on changing the Resolution value to "Unresolved" the issue is still displayed with a strikethrough in the Backlog and Kanban Board which is misleading to PMs and other users.
Any suggestions on how to get rid of this strikethrough?
Hey @Soham Das
Could you please check in the administration if someone added an "Unresolved " resolution to the available resolutions? Because that is a configuration mistake that happens a lot. If so, please remove the value so no one can select it anymore. "Unresolved" means it has no resolution value, and that is very important in Jira, in the UI, and in searches.
When a resolution value is set, only then will Jira treat the issue as resolved (e.g., strikethrough). Having a resolution value in die the dropdown that is "Unresolved" is causing a major confusion to users and Jira. 😄
Best, Max
P.S. Empty the resolution value of the issue, and you get rid of the strikethrough issue name. :)
