Issue in installing the JIRA 4.4.4

Hi,

We are facing the following issue.

The following plugins are required by JIRA, but have not been started:

* Gadget Directory Plugin (com.atlassian.gadgets.directory)
* Atlassian JIRA - Plugins - Project Config Plugin (com.atlassian.jira.jira-project-config-plugin)
* Atlassian OAuth Admin Plugin (com.atlassian.oauth.admin)
* Embedded Gadgets Plugin (com.atlassian.gadgets.embedded)
* Atlassian JIRA - Plugins - Shared Application Access Layer (SAL) Plugin (com.atlassian.sal.jira)
* Gadget Dashboard Plugin (com.atlassian.gadgets.dashboard)
* Atlassian JIRA - Plugins - Look And Feel Logo Upload Plugin (com.atlassian.jira.lookandfeel)
* Atlassian JIRA - Plugins - Gadgets Plugin (com.atlassian.jira.gadgets)
* Atlassian REST - Module Types (com.atlassian.plugins.rest.atlassian-rest-module)
* Gadget Spec Publisher Plugin (com.atlassian.gadgets.publisher)
* Atlassian JIRA - Plugins - REST Plugin (com.atlassian.jira.rest)
* Atlassian OAuth Service Provider Plugin (com.atlassian.oauth.serviceprovider)
* Opensocial Plugin (com.atlassian.gadgets.opensocial)

Unable to find ActiveObjects plugin. The plugin must be enabled for the
restore to work.

  1. You need to read further through your log - there will be an error somewhere telling you why one or more of the plugins are failing
  2. Version of java? 1.7 has some issues (doesn't work on mine, but I haven't actually chased it up to see why), stick with 1.6

i just had the same issue. Downloading Java 1.6.29 from java.oracle.com (need to log in with Oracle as it is a legacy version ???!) fixed it. Uninstalled Java 1.7, installed java 1.6, updated Java_home with new directory and success. Thank you @Nic.

Yes, Java 1.7 was the issue, we are happy with 1.6 now.
