Issue not moving to a different columns due to new workflow

"Something isn't letting us move HO-83 to In Progress. Ask your project administrator to check the workflow settings and transition conditions."

I've just created a new workflow, I've published it, however when it actually comes to moving a card on the Active Sprint board, this error message appears. Not sure why? Is this something to do with 'Screens'? Or something else?

A couple of possibilities:

• there isn’t a transition from the current status to the in progress status
• There are some restrictions within the workflow that is preventing you from moving the issue. For example, A condition that only the assignee can move the issue or something similar

Can you look closely at your workflow?

I should be able to move it myself as I'm the system Jira administrator as well as Jira project admin. As you can see, I do have a transition from the To Do column to In Progress. :/

ok so your from status is to do. And indeed I see you have a transition from that status to in progress. Now please open the transition to in progress and let's inspect any conditions and validator's that might be present. Also are you able to make the transition from the detailed issue view? I'm just trying to rule out any possible board conflicts.

@Julia Downs If there is any screen association from To Do to In Progress status where you need to fill in some values before changing status, this happens.

In this case, it is required to open that issue seperately and do transition by clicking on workflow buttons and by filling in required values in associated screen.
