I have created a Procurement project in Jira. And there was a default issue type called "Order" and created a workflow for that. Now I had to create a another issue type called "Draft Order or Pre-Order" and created a workflow for that.
And I wanted to create a issue in "Draft Order or Pre-Order".
Now my Question is
1. Once the issue is been moved and completed stage of "DONE" in Draft-Order, it should automatically moved to the default issue-type "Order" and start from that workflow.
2. And once when the issues move from one to another, is there any options moving back the issue.
For Ex: To Do --> In Progress --> Approved --> Done -->(Then should go to another issue-type) If in case if the approval gets failed, it should start from again with complete details like that.
Is there any possibilities for achieving this ?
As @Evgenii suggested maybe automation could help with managing two separate issues (using two separate workflows), but to me it sounds like over-engineering the solution.
Why don't you use a single issue with a bit more complex workflow to model the complete lifecycle of an order?
Hi, @Spartans
Changing of issue types is not supported, it can be done only manually. And I can say that it's very bad idea to make such proccess.
Maybe it's better to make automation rule, which, on certain transition, will create new issue, of required type, and link issues together?
