Issue type description in Jira cloud

We are using Jira cloud, I just wanted to know if there is a way to add description for Issue type field while creating the ticket, also for eg if we created issue type ABC and mentioned "it is for checking" in description of issue type, where can we see this description in issue view.

Unfortunately, there's no way for end users to see Issue Type's description while creating an issue. However, they can click on "Learn about issue types" link under the Issue Type field, to see the description of the Issue Type. Refer below screenshots -

It would actually be a very handy feature to simply show the description of the selected issue type beneath the issue selection box.  When you get many different issue types, you want it to be as clear as possible to the users which issue type they should choose.
