Issue with scope changes in the burndown chart

Hansi test January 29, 2020

Hi

Sprint start date of my sprint is on Monday at 9.00 am. I have finalized the sprint scope, but as I was on leave on Monday, I had to start sprint in Jira (by clicking on the "Start Sprint" button) on Tuesday. But when I start the sprint in Jira, I added my sprint start date as Monday 9.00 am. But, as I started my sprint on Tuesday (though I enter my sprint start date as Monday), all planned items in my sprint scope are displayed as scope changes. This has created a critical problem for me in terms of tracking. Really appreciate your help on this

Thanks and regards,

Hansi Wijenayake

You might be able to leverage the velocity chart side by side the burndown chart as they reflect both the total amount of expected effort at the end of the sprint as when the sprint started and you can see the difference there

Hi Fernando,

Thanks a lot for this. But is there any other way to directly solve this issue?

Cheers,

Hansi

Hello again @Hansi test

With the existing reports, I don't think you have a direct solution for the problem you are trying to solve. You might be able to look into ecosystem options in the market place for extended reporting functionality. 👀
