Issues created during Premium trial

We are using Jira Standard Cloud and going to trial Premium for using the Advanced Roadmaps capability. The question I have is if during the trial I create issues at an Epic level that are linked to an Initiative, what happens when the trial ends and we return back to Standard version? Will the issues continue to exist but just without the Initiative link as not available in Standard Jira or will the whole issue be impacted?

Yes, the issues will continue to exist. And they should even still be linked to each other for the initiatives to epics. You just won't have any true hierarchy funcationality anymore though - just a simple linkage.
