Issues in this Epic data not present when exporting to word

I am trying to export an Epic from detail view to Word format.  The file is created and contains data, but there is no table for "Issues in this Epic" and thus any stories associated with the Epic do not show up in the export.  Is this normal?

 

When I export a Story the associated sub-tasks are shown, why not Issues in this Epic for Epics?

 

Any suggestions?
