Today when I logged into JIRA all the issues are coming up now in the "New" format - which I hate by the way.
When I put a ticket into comments it used to automatically create a hyperlink when I saved the comment. For example, if I put "WAREH-8400" into a comment it would automatically link to that issue.
Today all of the sudden that functionality is not working and JIRA is treating the Issue keys as plan text and not creating a hyperlink in the comment.
This was a feature that was handy and I used often. Why does this not work anymore?
Hi,
I moved to the new item view for all employees, right from the start. And I had no problems with that.
I tested it now by typing the key for a call and when giving "enter" it linked right.
I have noticed the same behavior. I have not been able to find an issue in Atlassian's backlog about this.
I have submitted a support case to Atlassian and am waiting to hear back from them.

This is the response from Atlassian Support:
"Indeed, in the new issue view, this feature slightly changed, you need to paste the complete URL to render the issue or select link in the comment editor and type the issue key"

This started working for me again. I was able to put in an issue key like "APPSUPPORT-5032" and was able to get the JIRA link to populate after clicking space bar or enter. I am using the new item view.
