Italian date format issue

When editing sprint date in italian language. I just set the start date and sprint lasting but end date textbox is disabled (with automatic content) and shows an error, so I can't neither edit nor confirm dates.

It seems to happen only when selecting a day in months where italian and english name are different like december (dicembre) or october (ottobre).

The error disappears when selecting months like april (aprile) or november (novembre) so, to fix this bug developers should set field format and validator format the same in one of local or invariant language.

There are several issues in Atlassian's Internationalization backlog concerning the date picker field.

I recall seeing one that I think concerned the use of German and how it would change the months (i.e. Oct to Okt) and how that caused problems.

You may want to raise this to Atlassian Support directly to see if there is a work around.

@Trudy Claspill You have no idea how long I and other Italians have been proposing to Atlassian a real translation service made by 'Italians' who know how to write 'in Italian'. Sooner or later maybe they will give us this possibility and you will see how the Italian interface of Jira will improve.
