Items MISSING

Compliance Grupo Vertical February 11, 2022

Approximately 7 days of items disappeared, is it possible to recover? If it is not possible to see what happened?

This sounds like a question to your Jira admins whether there was any rollback. And if there was, there's no way get a proof of it anywhere on the system - other than doing a search and finding "there were no issues updated in last 7 days, what happened!?"

Did the 7 days loss only contain the issues you are familiar with, or all issues on the entire system?

If you delete an issue, it's deleted for good - Jira has no trash can to restore from.

Since timestamps are stored and restored the same way - if there was a rollback, you wouldn't be able to do any jql searches for created > -7d or updated > -7d; in any case, either, somebody deleted those issues, or, the instance was restored from a backup created 7 days ago - and Jira does not care who or why this was done, it's just a database.

If you are doing regular (nightly) backups your admin can restore from backup. How did 7d of data disappear?
