Items on Board under Done section auto missing

Under my project board, there are three sections: To Do, In Progress, and Done. I had around 20 items under Done and was dragging a couple of items to this section. Suddenly, my total items decreased to 11 from 20. This happened to me two times in a month. Both times, I was dragging items from TO DO to DONE.

The problem is just on the Board. I can see all the issues in the Issues section.

Hi @rupesh adhikari 

Are you on Server or Cloud?

If Cloud, is it a Team-managed or Company-managed Project? And is it a Work Management or Jira Software Project?

Lots of different board types are available - these questions will help narrow down the answer :)

I am on Cloud.

Project Details are as follows:

Project type: Business

Project Category: None

I am the only one currently working on this project.

Thanks for confirming this.

For business projects (also called Work Management) - issues are only available in the Done column for 14 days.

Please see this quote...

You’ll only be able to view a done item in the Done column for 14 days of it being moved there. After 14 days, the board will omit the item. You’ll still be able to see it in the list, timeline, and calendar view.

The advised alternative, if you need to keep these issues is...

  • Change to a Software project type
  • Use the Kanban Board - where you can set how often Done issues are cleared (if at all)
