Where can I set the default sort order (ASC or DESC) of comments valid for all users.

Till Version 4.2.xx I can do this in file

atlassian-jira/WEB-INF/classes/jira-application.properties

with parameter

jira.issue.actions.order=ASC|DESC

Thanks

Norbert

Unless I set the parameter

jira.issue.actions.order=desc

the comments to the issues are sorted asc (oldest comment is shown first).

I do a restart as well but the behaviour not change?

Thanks for a hint.

Sorry, didn't get that. So you changed it to desc and there is no change?

Im logged in as the admin I changed it to "desc"

Then I logged in as a user, viewing any issues the comments will sorted "asc", means the oldest comment appears at top of list!

In version 4.2.x the newest comment appear at top of list!

How can I get the behaviour as under version 4.2.x?

You can now do it from the Administration GUI. Check out Advanced Config.

Modify jira.issue.actions.order property in this case. No restart, happy days!
