I am trying JIRA 6, i noticed the gadget titles are too big, anybody know how to make it smaller again...

Please read the new ADG (Atlassian Design Guide) of Jira 6.0. This introduces a new style which is more modern. If you want to midify this height you have to modify the CSS files yourself. For this you have to read the manuals about AUI on the developer sites of Atlassian.

i am having the same issue on 2 different machines (Windows XP and Windows 7).

Both are upgraded from JIRA 5.2.4. How to manually set gadget title's font. Thanks again.
