JIRA 7 Navigation Panel Configuration

Is it possible to customize the navigation panel by removing 'Boards' link as it is not needed?  I can do this in the modules of the Agile component but wondering if there is another way to do it as not always positive what I am disabling in these modules only if the name looks like menu...

You can insert a custom CSS in the announcement banner to hide the link. I believe it is better way if you don't want to disable the module entirely.
