JIRA 7.x and EWS support

Hi,

I would like to ask if Atlassian plans to support EWS mail protocol in 7.x ? In my company due to security reasons there is no option to turn on POP/IMAP protocols and we wonder what are the other solutions for this problem. Assuming there is no plugins that provide such integration, could you please advise how we can achieve our goal ?

I asked a couple of weeks ago, and was told that there are no plans to support EWS, as it's got the same issues as MAPI

In the cases where you have to use non-useful protocols, the most simple solution is to set up your own dedicated mail server that uses standard open protocols and forward the mail via that.
