Hi,

How can one restrict the ranking of epics while at the same time allow ranking of stories?

Hi,

OK. I understand. Not possible at the moment, might be possible someday.

We have long product backlog with hundreds of epics and stories, and we want to allow only product owners to change the priority of epics while at the same time allowing scrum masters to change the priorities of stories and move issues in and out of sprint.

As according to Shaun Clowes comment in https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/21446/restricting-rank-privillages

At the moment Ranking is restricted by the Schedule Issues permission in Jira. You could potentially restrict this permission just to the business users for the Agile projects that you do not want others touching. In addition any changes to the rank (and who performed them) will be shown in the history for the issue.

We are looking in to the possibility of offering a different permission but can't confirm any time frame.
