Hello All,
We have setup an Automation Rule when an issue/task is created on a project, automatically an email should be triggered and notification should be sent to the recipient email. So this rule was working fine previously and recently noticed there is a delay in receiving the email notifications when the issue/task created newly. when we send the one-one email to recipient the email is instant.
So would like to know any issues on the Automations and anyone facing similar problem, as i checked the automation status seems operational.
Hello @Karthik Murugan ,
Welcome to the community!
There are no incidents reported here https://status.atlassian.com/ . All are looking good and operational.
I am not sure about the type of automation you're working with, however, the email delay may have been caused by Jira's email batching function (which according to https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/Is-the-Batch-Email-Notifications-feature-available-in-Jira-Cloud/qaq-p/1031512 is possibly relevant for Cloud).
Batching means users don't get an email for every action (assign V comment V transition), instead the system queues these events for a period of time and then sends a single digest email
I cannot confirm if this is the cause of your delay, but something that feels it might be worth looking at.
Have a nice day!
Hello @Himanshi ,
Thanks for providing your response.
The automation email setup was working from quite a long time and observed the problem from last week. As we have made no changes. So could you guide us what needs to be performed to get proper automated email when an ticket is created.
