JIRA Cloud site-admin can't prompt another site admin's password reset

Hi all

I don't know whether this is an intentional feature of JIRA cloud, but I've noticed that in the case where you have two site admins, neither is able to prompt the reset of the other's password. This seems odd to me given that they can prompt the reset of a JIRA admin's password as well as that of a basic user. Has anybody else come across this.

I've tried to find documentation online about this feature, but can't find anything, so if anybody has a link it would be appreciated.

Hello Jill,

Thank you for getting in touch with Atlassian Community!
This is an expected behaviour from Jira that a site-admin can't click on reset password or log in as user when it comes from another site-admin.
We, from Atlassian that has system-administrators permission, also don't have this ability and we couldn't do this on the old UI for user management as well.
I've searched for this information on our documentation, but I didn't find anything related to this specific feature.
I've created a Suggestion for our team responsible for documentation to update the documentation explaining why this is not possible:
Please, click on vote and watch to receive updates.

As a workaround, you can remove this user from the site-admin group, send the reset password link and then add them back to the group.

Regards,
Angélica
