I am using a scrum board and have the following columns set up with the following statuses for when you view the active sprint.
Ready Dev WIP Dev Done Test WIP Test Done Complete
To Do Dev WIP Dev Done Test WIP Test Done Done
Ready
In Analysis
Now when i come to look at my control chart and select the filters for all statuses it is including issues that have been in "To Do" as well as when it has been in "Ready". So most issues say that they have been sat in "Ready" for weeks. This is not the truth as i run weekly sprints so I know stories can only be sat in "Ready" for 5 days max if i select a 1 week sprint time frame.
The ways of working within the team is that any story created that sits in the backlog is in "To Do" then when a BA picks up the story for analysis then set the status to "In Analysis".
Only when the story makes it into the sprint then I switch the status to "Ready" as the story is ready to be picked up and worked through the board.
What I would like to do is show the transition time from "Ready" to "Done" and not include how long the story has been sat in the backlog or in analysis.
If I remove the "To Do" and "In Analysis" status from the column set up on the scrum board then they disappear from the backlog! Annoying!
Hope that all makes sense. Any help much appreciated.
