JIRA EMAIL HANDLER: Error handling

Hi Team,

We currently have all Mail Handler errors forwarded to our distro and  noticed over the weekend that we got a large number of errors and still continuing. Could you please let me know what is the exact problem of this. I did not see any issues in incoming handlers.

The error is :

An error was encountered whilst handling messages from the mail server
"Owens Direct" using the handler "class com.atlassian.jira.plugins.mail.handlers.CreateOrCommentHandler".

The error was:

"Potential mail loop detected. Message will be removed.

------------------------

The error and the email that caused the error are attached to this email.

If this is a recurring problem, you may wish to contact a system administrator to check the parameters of your mail fetching service:

In case all the e-mails in the mailbox, which is to be queried by the specific Mail Handler, don't contain any errors you might be affected from what is described here:
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-41918

Of course, there is some chance that there is still a mail loop in the mailbox - which we cannot state from here :-)
