JIRA Plans with Scrum Board

With a Scrum board, does Jira Plan automatically populates the Target Start and Target End fields based on the sprint start and end dates when an issue is added to a sprint?

I noticed there's a setting under the plan configuration to "infer issue dates from sprint dates," but even with that enabled, the Target Start and End fields don’t appear to be updating in the plan.

I figured it out — I was importing issues into the plan using a filter instead of selecting my Scrum board as the issue source. Because of that, the sprint metadata wasn’t available.
