JIRA Server Alert for Slack - How can I send custom fields to Slack using this integration

I am using JIRA Server Alerts to send notifications to Slack.  Currently it only sends this:

UserA changed Bug JIRA-79 from "To Do" to "Done"

Customer issue with purchase
Assignee      Creator
UserA           UserB

 

I want to include 2 custom fields but cannot see how to do that.

Any ideas how I can do this using JIRA Server Alerts?  Or is there some other add-on I need to use.

I don't think the Jira Server Alerts app allows you to do that. I believe it will only work with status changes and default fields.

I use Jira Server, but I think the Cloud version of Automation for Jira can do this, too. I would check out their docs or do a trial of this to see if it can meet your needs.

Yes we can do this. In Slack messages you can reference any field value like:

My Field:     {{issue.My Field}}
Second Field: {{issue.Second Field}}
