For one of my release, JIRA version report is showing projected date as Sep 18, while JIRA Portfolio is showing projected date as Dec 18.
Which one is supposed to be more accurate and why?
The version report uses your velocity based on how you are getting things done. The Portfolio release date looks at other factors in its scheduling algorithm. Portfolio may look at factors like other issues that need to be completed, dependencies, and your average velocity to determine its projected date.
