I am trying to configure okta with single sign on and i am at this add SAML configuration to test this can i just test it with my user or when enabled it enables for my whole user base?
I am being asked to verify - any idea? why - Attached message.
Hey Adrian,
When enabling SSO with Okta (or any SAML provider), it's enabled for the entire organization managed in Atlassian Access. It is an all-or-nothing situation. A helpful hint from our setup guide:
Note that during the time it takes to configure SAML single sign-on, users won't be able to log in to your Atlassian Cloud products. Consider scheduling a day and time for the changeover to SAML, and alerting your users in advance.
I'd recommend trying this out on a Saturday or using an alternate domain for testing (if your organization has one available without any users on it). The change is pretty quick but could surprise your users if you're just working on testing right now.
Cheers,
Daniel | Atlassian Support
