JIRA and Silk Test Manager; Can't find/search on epic link or assignable fields?

Hello,

I have configured Silk Test Manager with JIRA and can see my fields, but a few I cannot select or populate because I believe the databases are dynamic and silk doesn't have a active connection just a refresh every so often. I am trying to allow my QA team to create defects in jira through Silk. But they cannot complete the create issue because I require an epic link and assignee to be populated, both which are not giving options in Silk. The other fields and their options come through fine, but they are static (Test Category, Environment, fix version, etc). How can we solve for this?
