I was recently adding comments on one of the tickets in JIRA, when i observed this anomaly where the date and time was recorded wrong post mid-night, it had backdated it by approx. 12hrs to the previous day, this looks like a bug, but kind of saves the developer who has a toxic team lead who tracks even when the comment was posted, anyhoo..

i was trying to add comment at 12:00 AM 17/06/2025, but the timestamp the product saved at was 11:45 AM 16/06/2025

Team JIRA help me out here :)

Hey @Goutham T S - Are you able to check what is the time zone in your Jira profile? Can you please go the Jira profile> Preferences > Time zone.

Can you confirm if the time zone matches your actual time zone? Ideally in Jira cloud, all the timestamps are adjusted based on the time Zone set in your profile.

Thanks,

Bharat
