Hi All,
We have JIRA version 3 running, There is been an issue where JIRA automatically moves to read only mode.
After JIRA Restart this problem vanishes but after certain time it again moves to read only mode.
Could someone please help me what may be the cause of such erroneous.
Many Thanks,
Akash
JIRA does not have a "read only mode", so you'll need to explain what you mean by that.
What do you mean by read only mode? How does it show? More information is needed

Try updating to a later supported version of JIRA and see if that "read-only" problem (whatever it is) disappears. If you cannot upgrade now which is your best option, you are quite stuck with your read-only problem and if there's bug in that version, it won't be fixed since it's unsupported.

Mmm, if you don't know what the problem is, you have no way of knowing if an upgrade is going to fix it, and if it doesn't, you've gone through an entire upgrade project for nothing. I'd rather find out what the issue is and know that an upgrade will fix it. But we're still waiting for an explanation of what this "read only" thing is (because JIRA doesn't do it)

Hello Akash,
There is a high possibility you have something configured in the workflow transitions that is making that happens. Just a wild guess at the moment
Best regards,
Mike
