JIRA had problems starting up

Folks 

I have purchased the JIRA Software (Server) - Starter License a month back and i had installed atlassian-jira-software-7.10.1-x64 in my machine.

After installation, i clicked on Start JIRA Service [8080]

I got the error that "JIRA login page is not loading up". What i am missing:

• Should i install any DB to support JIRA Server? I dont have any other JIRA related software other than this
• Should i use any backdated version instead of atlassian-jira-software-7.10.1-x64
• Or what else?

Please help me as i need to get mastery in JIRA Software.

@SENTHIL KUMAR CHANDRAHASANThere are lots of reasons,  first  of all JIRA needs  a DB  to  run,  and which database server are you  using  and DB server is  installed  on which host,  you  need to  know these things  and and it  could be network issues,  you need to  check TCP,  is  JIRA really running at  port 8080,   are you running Jira instance  on unix like operating system or windows ?   more also you  need to provide logs  to  better understand the nature of your issue, logs  can be found JIRA application log — <jira application directory>/ bin/atlassian-jira.log
