JIRA not synch with AD Nested Group

Hello,

I am hoping someone can help.  I cannot get the nested AD group in Jira to work even though in CROWD, I enabled the "Use nested groups" option.  In Jira, it show as zero users in the groups if it's a nested group but if it's not a nested group and users are added directly into the group, then it show number of users in.  Does USE NESTED GROUPS in JIRA mean something different?  Does anyone have this issue?  Any feedback would be appreciated.  Same issue in Confluence as well.  Thank you!
