JIRA standalone windows service 7024

Hi Team,

I installed JIRA Standalone 8.5.4 using the Zip package on Windows. I installed AdoptOpenJDK (JDK+JRE). I followed the steps outlined at running-jira-applications-as-a-windows-service . 

The start-jira.bat works and the application starts. I want to run this standalone package as a service. Therefore I installed the service from command prompt. 

When I launch the service, I am running into a well known OS error code 7024 -Incorrect function (Event logs). I verified the JAVA_HOME and Java options too. They appear to be fine. 

If there some additional leads here, it would help me proceed further.
