JIRA upgrade integrated with MSSQL database

HI Team,

I have my JIRA  standalone server on version 7.13 and we are planning to upgrade it to version 8.13.x . the database used in MSSQL 2016R2 SP2 . could you please let us know if the DB is compatible with the upgraded version or do we need to upgrade the driver as well. 

Could you please als share the upgrade pan considering this database.
