JQL Join project on checkbox

Charlie Beckett November 2, 2020

Hi community,

Wonder if you can help.

I am trying to join two next gen projects together through values set in a checkbox on one of the projects.

So imagine

PROJECT1 has a checkbox called PROBLEMS which has a drop down.

PROJECT2 has the list of all the PROBLEMS and a custom field called GUIDANCE.

Is it possible to create a filter to show the guidance of all the PROBLEMS where the PROBLEMS appear in PROJECT1.

Hope that makes sense ?!?

Hi Charlie,

Have you tried a filter like:

(Project = PROJECT1 and Problems = abc) and (Project = PROJECT2 and Problems abc)

Hi @Charlie Beckett

As a base line, next gen projects don't share fields, so it would be quite difficult.

Can you explain a bit more about the fields?  You say PRO1 has a checkbox which is drop down.  Is it a multi-select?  Does PRO2 have the same list?
