I am doing a search in Jira and I would like to know the names of the projects satisfying my JQL search. I am performing the following search:

The problem is that there are hundreds of issues that satisfy this text search belonging to the same project so I need to scroll through the thousands of issues till I find the other projects satisfying this text search. Is there a simpler way to return the list of projects satisfying this query withtout needing to scroll through thousands of projects?

Hi @Mouna Hammoudi

How do you want to use that project list?

If you just want the names, you could do this with a simple dashboard using built-in Jira features:

  • for your JQL filter, save that as a named filter
  • create a dashboard
  • add the pie chart or two-dimensional filter gadget
    • select your named filter
    • select Project as one of the critieria
  • view the results

Kind regards,
Bill

What I usually do is export the list of issues (Excel - Sheets)  and create a pivot table with the Project data. That way, I can have the specific project keys.
