JQL used by View Search button on Parent ticket is invalid - is it configurable?

We have a parent ticket with 100+ child tickets linked. A "View Search" button is available to view the linked tickets via a query, but the JQL is invalid. 

The query is easily correctable. 

parent=PLAT-8461 OR "Epic Link"=PLAT-8461 OR "Parent Link"=PLAT-8461

if i dissect the JQL;

• parent=PLAT-8461 returns nothing
• "Epic Link"=PLAT-8461 is invalid, but can be corrected by updating to cf[10500] =PLAT-8461
• "Parent Link"=PLAT-8461 returns the expected list.

Wondering if the button itself is configurable, so we don't have to work around it.?

I don't think this is configurable.

In this post another user mentioned that they also were getting an error trying to use the button. You did not mention what you are seeing, but is it the same as this post?

I would recommend that you contact Atlassian Support directly about the error.
